Nearly a fifth of Britons have had sleepless nights due to money worries as a result of the recession, it has been found.
A survey by Lloyds TSB revealed the extent to which the current economic climate is affecting people, with 21 per cent stating that they have suffered from some form of ‘recession depression’.
Those who are concerned about the effect that the downturn is having on their finances may wish to seek IVA help, as the bank noted that addressing debt problems is important.
Managing director of customer experience at Lloyds TSB Graham Lindsay remarked: "If you have financial worries, facing them head on is always the best policy."
Other findings from the poll included the fact that just six per cent of those who have experienced a recession before expect an upturn to occur by the end of the year.
Earlier this week, Unbiased.co.uk urged those who are struggling with debt management problems to seek advice.
