The number of people in the UK who could benefit from asking individual voluntary arrangement (IVA) questions may be on the up, following figures from moneysupermarket.com.
According to the price comparison website, some 78 per cent of Brits found it difficult to afford the cost of their utility bills during the recent cold snap and, as a result, decided not to switch their heating on as much.
In addition, it states that 22 per cent stopped using the heating altogether, worried it would push them into the red.
Although we’re now welcoming in spring and the warmer weather it brings, it might be a good idea for those concerned about the state of their finances and unsecured debts to seek IVA answers now, in preparation for the winter months.
After all, IVAs help to clear money owed on credit cards and personal loans worth over £15,000, which could free up extra cash to go towards the heating bills - something extremely important for all of us when the temperatures begin to drop again.
