Students appear to be trying to keep a lid on the amount of money they will owe when they finish their studies, new research has found - but those who do not manage this may soon find they are seeking individual voluntary arrangement questions.
Results from a joint study by the National Union of Students and Endsleigh -entitled the Student Lifestyle Report - found that, on average, university goers worked 15 hours per week in paid employment during term time.
This was two hours more than the 13 hours recorded in 2008.
President of the NUS Aaron Porter noted: "We would expect that these figures will increase further in the next few years as the rise in tuition fees increases the cost of living for students."
AA Travel Insurance recently carried out a poll that found many Brits will not be going on a foreign holiday this year as a result of fears over their financial situation.
