It appears many people in the UK may be experiencing financial difficulties following the findings of a Harris Interactive study for Metro newspaper.
The investigation showed a quarter of Britons have cancelled their holiday plans for 2011 because of fears over how much the trips will cost.
And for those owing debts of more than £15,000, it may be wise to start thinking up individual voluntary arrangement questions to enable them to ease the monetary strain.
A spokesman for the Association of British Travel Agents said many individuals see vacations as essential rather than optional.
He noted: "With increasing pressure on family finances, more and more are booking all-inclusive holidays to manage budgets."
The study also revealed three-quarters of those questioned are "somewhat concerned" about their ability to fund a getaway.
Recent research from Travelex found many people in the UK will be using credit cards in order to pay for a trip abroad in 2011.
